Delay Across A Link Estimator

This estimator computes the delay across a single link when you enter the average message size in bytes, the protocol being used, the message frequency in messages per hour, and the speed of the link in bits per second. While it is only an estimate for the use of a link assuming a single application, it gives an idea of what kind of delay one can expect across a given line as the number of messages increases.

These formulae are only estimates and actual real-world events in your WAN may or may not resemble these theoretical calculations. Any results should be used at your own discretion.
