Clients have included systems integrator/information technology firms, software development companies, several large law partnerships, and telecommunications service providers and Federal government agencies including FDA and HCFA. Consulting engagements have included creating business development plans and strategies to help systems integration companies expand from government-only to commercial markets including developing Internet marketing strategies, outsourcing telecommunications networks, and marketing a geographical information systems-based software product; designing international frame relay networks and negotiating for services with multiple service providers; developing system design specifications for software development of an expert systems-based tool to be used to design and optimize telecommunications networks; and assisting numerous companies with the acquisition of telecommunications products and services...

Responsible for technical and business planning functions for a $50M network upgrade being implemented to provide data communications services to the global airline industry Responsible for marketing functions (competitive pricing, product definition, promotion, and distribution) and strategic initiatives associated with meeting revenue goals representing a $20M+ per year business Developed the company's first SNA/SDLC and electronic messaging service offerings

 

NORTEL DATA NETWORKS

My division grew from an $8M to a $65M a year business during my tenure. I implemented a new department (Network Engineering) that provided the technical marketing support needed to facilitate this growth.
